What is Smith Journal?

A quarterly publication, Smith takes unexpected, interesting, funny and sometimes complicated stories and tells them the way you would to a bunch of friends at the pub.

The minds behind Smith wanted to create something they’d be happy to read themselves. That smart, creative people could peruse without shame, slap down on the coffee table, whack in their favourite old satchel or display proudly on the toilet reading rack. A mag that looked really good, but had substance, wit and inspiration.

Smith might be sitting in mens interest, but it isnt just a mens magazine. Its interested in connecting with people who are curious about the world, regardless of gender, and so ladies are and have always been welcome.

Smith isnt obsessed with the latest stuff or being first in line. While it does keep an eye on whats current, its much more intrigued by things that stand the test of time.

Smith isnt about creating a divide between makers and thinkers, because it understands that to build anything you need your hands as well as your mind.

Smith isnt about being clever. It happily confesses to knowing nothing, but it considers that a positive, because that means its fascinated by everything.

Smith isnt about being nostalgic. Admittedly, it does love plenty of things from the past, but it knows that nostalgia can be toxic, so its constantly looking toward the future too. The fact you can purchase it for your iPad is proof of that.

Only one free trial per subscription.
If you sign up to any subscription, we will provide you with the first 30 days free of charge.

You will not be charged if you turn off auto-renewal at any time during the free trial period. If you turn off auto-renewal, you will continue to receive access until your current subscription period expires.

If you do not turn off auto-renewal during the trial period, you will be billed at the end of the free trial period. Your subscription will continue at the regular price using the payment method Apple has on record for you.

Your subscription automatically renews until auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period. Your iTunes account will automatically be charged at the same price for renewal within 24-hours prior to the end of the current period (another three months for quarterly subscribers) unless you change your subscription preferences in your account settings. You can manage your subscriptions through your Account Settings after purchase. No cancellation of the current subscription is allowed during an active subscription period.
